From 27 July to July 30 local time, world-class oncologists, radiation therapists and medical physicists, medical staff and researchers from Israel, the United States and other countries gathered in Kibbutz Hagoshrim, Israel to attend the 4th international conference on molecular targeting and immunotherapy of cancer.

During the conference, a number of lectures and keynote presentations were held on the current status and cutting-edge information of cancer treatment, molecular targeting therapy, immunotherapy and other oncotherapy related topics. P-Cure’s compact proton therapy system has been promoted several times during the lectures, separately given by Dr. Zelig Tochner, emeritus professor CE of University of Pennsylvania and clinical director of proton therapy project at department of radiation oncology, Dr. Jon Feldman, director of department of radiation oncology at Hadassa Medical Center in Jerusalem, and Dr. Sion Koren, director of department of radiation oncology at Ziv Hospital Center and chairman of Israeli Association of Physicists in Medicine (IAPM).

“P-Cure has developed a proton therapy system that shifts the paradigm in the ability of oncology centers around the world to be able to offer proton therapy to their patients,” says Dr. Sion Koren, “Instead of building a stand-alone facility, a cancer treatment center can expand its treatment options by installing a compact P-Cure Proton Therapy System in already existing linac vault.”

The P-Cure booth attracted many visitors. They showed great interest in P-Cure’s creative proton therapy system and communicated with the staff actively. Both the visitors and P-Cure look forward to further market cooperation.

Hadassah Medical Organization and P-Cure Ltd. announced a collaboration in 2019. The collaboration intends to provide cancer patients in Israel with access to proton therapy, the most targeted type of radiation therapy. The treatments has been carried out as a clinical research initiative this year at two of Hadassah’s sites in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
